Shoebox Campaign"I love First Peoples":due Dec 20
The I Love First Peoples Organization has a magnificent campaign of delivering shoe boxes filled with gifts to indigenous kids in need. Last year OTHS filled up 80 shoe boxes that were sent to communities in the north. These shoe boxes can be filled with little gifts such as books, toys, games, art supplies etc. When making the boxes please do not include any used items. Also, we like to avoid dollar store toys that could potentially break easily. This year we would like to fill up 30 boxes by December 20. The reason why we believe that this is such an effective campaign and one worth donating to is because, a lot of indigenous children do not get the same presents we do and it means a lot to these kids that someone cares about them and gives them gifts. It is a small step toward reconciliation and it creates a connection between kids of different backgrounds. We will leave you with a list of items that are most appreciated. Boxes will be available for donations in the library.

Grad photos - Nov 26 - Dec 5th Get your photo so that you can be in the big composite photo for graduation 2019! Book your appointment now! They will set up on the morning of November 26 and take the first photo session at noon. Please remember to sign up! The online sign up site will open only one week at a time so it fills up before opening the second week. What is slightly different from previous years that those students that want a photo to appear in the yearbook and wallboard but do not want a photo session must book a time to be photographed. This is very important that you know this. Each photo session takes about 20 minutes and we ask that you arrive 5 minutes early in order to login all their information on the computer. They will be taking about 15 photos on multiple backgrounds and in various poses. These will be a combination of cap n gown and casuals. Students can bring 2 outfit changes which can be passions that reflect their personalities, such as sports or other activities they are involved in. The session booklets which you received explains all of this.
